[ Private events curation · Los Angeles · MMXXVI ]

Most rooms are wasted on the wrong people.

We curate the ones that aren't. Founders who ship. Operators who answer their own emails. Investors with conviction, not calendars.

Attendance is by curation. There is no list. Scroll

[ MANIFESTO · 01 ] LA · 2026

The room is the product.

The deck doesn't close the round. The dinner does.

The conference doesn't change your career. The fifteen-person rooftop afterward does.

Most events are logistics with a bar attached. Ours are bets — on a guest list, a question, a thirty-second introduction that compounds for a decade.

A dinner is not a dinner. A party is not a party.
It is a deal, a friendship, a fund, a company —
disguised as a Tuesday in Los Angeles.

[ THE METHOD · 02 ] BRIEF · LIST · OUTCOME

It starts with the guest list.
Everything else is logistics.

We don't begin with a venue, a theme, or a budget. We begin with a single question — who is in the room, and what should be true after they leave? Working backward from that answer is the entire job.

  1. 01

    The Brief

Before anything is booked, we write the one sentence that explains why this night should exist.

    • Translate "I want to host something" into a thesis with a guest list attached.
    • Pick the format the thesis requires — dinner, salon, panel-of-three, no-panel.
    • Name what success looks like before the invites go out.
If we can't write the brief in one sentence,
    we don't run the night.
  2. 02

    The List

A hand-built guest list, name by name, against a thesis. No mass-invite. No "the more the better."

    • Build the room from our network and yours, vetted line by line.
    • Hold the door — RSVPs aren't tickets, they're approvals.
    • Curate seating, intros, and sequencing so the right people meet on purpose.
    We don't sell tables.
    We choose them.
  3. 03

    The Outcome

The dinner ends at 11. The work it does runs for years. We're responsible for both.

    • Engineer specific introductions, not generic mingling.
    • Brief the host so they walk in knowing the seven conversations to have.
    • Follow through after — warm intros, recaps, the second meeting.
The night is the beginning of the relationship,
not the end of the event.
[ SELECTED ROOMS · 03 ] DISCRETION IS THE PROOF

Some of it
we'll talk about.

Most of what we do is private. A few rooms we'll talk about. Names redacted by habit.

  1. 2025 No. 11 BRENTWOOD

    A founder dinner.

22 seats. 9 funds. One topic.

Outcome — One Series B closed inside three weeks.

  2. 2025 No. 09 OJAI

    A fund weekend.

14 LPs. Two days. Zero decks.

Outcome — The room hasn't stopped talking since.

  3. 2025 No. 06 DTLA

    A launch night.

62 seats. Two no-shows, both flagged.

Outcome — No press, no recap, no exceptions.

Partner, Capital · Founder, Series C consumer · Solo GP · Co-founder, (acq. 2024) · Chef,

The names we don't print are the point.

[ AFTER THE ROOM ] SOURCED, ANONYMIZED, ON FILE
  1. "Two of our last four checks came out of a dinner they put together. We hadn't met the founder before that night."

    · Partner, top-decile growth fund

  2. "They are picky in a way we are not. We needed that."

    · LP-side, family office

[ DOOR POLICY · 04 ] EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY · INDEFINITELY

The door
policy.

  1. 01. We do not publish the address.
  2. 02. Phones face down. No photos. No tagging.
  3. 03. No press. No plus-ones. No exceptions.
  4. 04. Every guest is approved by name.
  5. 05. RSVPs are approvals, not tickets.
  6. 06. The list closes when it closes.
  7. 07. We will say no, sometimes, to you.

We are picky. We will turn down events with bigger budgets to run smaller ones with better lists. We will say no to your friend who just wants to network. We will say no to brands who think the room is a billboard.

Every guest is approved by name. Plus-ones are a question, not a courtesy. The list closes when it closes. We don't oversell the room to insure against no-shows — we choose people who show up.

If you've been in one of our rooms, you know. If you haven't, the only way in is through someone who has, or through a brief good enough to earn a seat.

We are the door.
We decide what comes through it.

[ APPLY · 05 ] DECISIONS MONTHLY

We accept a small number of engagements per quarter. Tell us about the room you want to build — or the craft you bring to one. We read everything. We respond when we can be useful.
